About Us

menopauseandu.ca was created to publicize the findings of SOGC’s 2006 Consensus Report on Menopause—trust worthy information about menopause and osteoporosis for the general public and health professionals.

Evidence-based information is the cornerstone of today’s medical system. New drugs and treatments go through clinical trials to test how well they work. Once a treatment has proved safe and effective, Health Canada may approve it for widespread use.

menopauseandu.ca is a key part of the SOGC’s Menopause Education and Awareness  Program which includes a national Canadian Menopause Coalition, continuing medical education, and outreach activities that raise awareness about menopause and osteoporosis.
