Sexuality
From the time we get our first period, most women are connected to a powerful sense of what it means to be female, in their bodies and in their minds. Whether we have children or not, our sexuality and the physical sensations associated with being a woman, form a big part of our identity. Women come to an intimate knowledge of their bodies and know what to expect. Then along comes menopause with changes that are unexpected and the transition can be challenging. There are the expected changes: regular menstrual periods may not be so regular anymore. But then there are the ones we might not have been expecting: we begin to notice changes in the genital area, affecting the vagina, the bladder and our sex lives.
There is something you can do. A variety of medical and non-medical treatments and approaches are available to help us enjoy a healthy sex life throughout this time in our lives.
